Head of Shared Services Finance

At Fora, we're looking for an exceptional Interim Head of AP, Billing & Credit Control to lead and transform our transactional finance operation during an exciting period of growth and evolution. This is a high-impact leadership role overseeing our end-to-end Accounts Payable, Billing, Accounts Receivable and Credit Control functions, leading a team of approximately 25 professionals across a complex, fast-paced and customer-centric business.

Responsibilities

Lead and transform transactional finance operation; Oversee end-to-end Accounts Payable, Billing, Accounts Receivable and Credit Control functions; Lead a team of approximately 25 professionals; Inspire, develop and lead team across AP, Billing, AR and Credit Control; Create culture of accountability, ownership, collaboration and continuous improvement; Build capability through coaching, development and succession planning; Manage upwards and downwards, influencing stakeholders; Own full Procure-to-Pay and Order-to-Cash lifecycle; Ensure robust controls, compliance and governance; Drive improvements in cash collection, aged debt management and working capital performance; Oversee complex billing processes across products, entities, contracts and customer types; Build relationships with operational, commercial, finance and supplier stakeholders; Identify opportunities to streamline, automate and optimise processes; Lead system enhancements, process redesign and digital transformation; Champion use of technology, automation and AI; Leverage data and insights to improve decision-making, controls and operational performance

Requirements

Significant leadership experience within Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Billing, Credit Control or Transactional Finance; Proven experience leading end-to-end AP, AR and Billing functions; Experience operating within multi-site, multi-entity, high-volume environments with complex billing structures; Strong understanding of Procure-to-Pay (P2P); Order-to-Cash (O2C); Credit Control; Working Capital Management; Cashflow Management; Financial Controls & Compliance; Proven track record delivering transformation, automation and process improvement initiatives; Experience leading sizeable teams and driving performance through periods of change; Leads with energy, accountability and empathy; Can confidently challenge and influence senior stakeholders; Enjoys developing and coaching teams; Is comfortable working at pace and navigating ambiguity; Understands how to balance customer experience, operational efficiency and financial control; Embraces AI, automation and innovative technologies; Strong ERP experience (SAP or similar); Experience implementing automation and workflow solutions; Advanced Excel and reporting/analytics capabilities; Comfortable using data to identify trends, risks and improvement opportunities
