Health & Safety Advisor South

Bauer Media Outdoor is one of the leading Out of Home media owners with more than 40,000 advertising sites in our portfolio. We are committed to creating the Future of Media, Out of Home. We are looking to recruit a Health & Safety Advisor to join our team and support us in the Southern Region of the UK. This is a hybrid role with 3 days on various sites in your area, proximity to commute to Dartford or Bristol is key. Remaining days to be worked at home.

Responsibilities

Providing professional advice and assistance in relation to health, safety and welfare compliance; Facilitating ongoing improvements; Assisting managers and supervisors in complying with health and safety law and corporate occupational health and safety requirements; Making regular visits to sites in the South Regions for health and safety auditing and inspections; Providing advice and guidance for BMO management on the implementation of legislation and corporate policies; Proactively assisting managers in controlling day-to-day management of occupational health and safety; Carrying out health and safety auditing and inspections of delivery operatives, plant and machinery and safe systems of work; Undertaking regular visits to BMO employees on street; Following accident reporting procedures in accordance with RIDDOR and carrying out investigations; Assisting in the production and implementation of health and safety policies and procedures; Participating in Work Place Forums and administering Safety Committees; Preparing and presenting written reports

Requirements

NEBOSH National General Certificate; Ability to translate legislation and standards into practical and succinct health & safety policies and procedures; Experience of working within an established risk management system; Proficient in the use of MS Office; Ability to build strong working relationships with colleagues; Ability to work under own initiative and to seek advice when necessary; Drive and determination to meet targets; Full UK Driving Licence; Ability to travel and commit to overnight stays when necessary
