Heavy Truck Driver

Operates a truck having a factory-rated capacity of 5 tons and over, or a tank truck having a capacity of over 1200 gallons as a major work assignment and performs operational maintenance; may perform manual work tasks in connection with general construction and maintenance work; and perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

Legal authorization to work: must be a citizen, national, or permanent resident alien of the United States, or eligible under federal law for unrestricted employment in the United States; Experience: one (1) year of work experience in the operation of trucks having a factory-rated capacity of more than one and one-half tons, or an equivalent combination of training and experience; Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class B, with Endorsement N (Tank vehicles 1,000 gallons or more capacity), and no restrictions relating to codes E (manual transmission), J (automatic or synchromesh transmission), and L (air brakes) at the time of application; copy of CDL must be submitted at the time of application; valid out-of-state CDL may be accepted, but must be transferred to a Hawaii-issued CDL prior to employment start date.
