Heavy Vehicle & Machinery Fitter

Vacancies have arisen to join a UK wide engineering company at their Leeds site on a permanent basis as they continue to expand their operations in servicing, maintenance and repair of specialist heavy vehicles.

Responsibilities

Help to achieve team goals and objectives in a heavy, hands-on environment; Adhere to health & safety and local safety policy requirements, and other safety and technical standards; Ensure company engineering standards and procedures are applied and followed; Mechanically and electrically maintain, service, fault find in vehicles in accordance with approved maintenance plans; Ensure all relevant paperwork for examinations and repairs is correctly completed to company standards; Maintain high standards of housekeeping to ensure a clean and safe environment; Read mechanical and electrical schematics

Requirements

Commitment to safe working practices; Experience in electrical and mechanical maintenance activities; NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in an Electrical or Mechanical Engineering discipline; Safety conscious and motivated self-starter; Fully versatile team member with well established experience in a heavy engineering background such as Automotive, Heavy Plant, Bus, HGV, Rail or Military; Flexible approach to working hours
