Hepatology - Full Time NP/PA

Advanced Practice Providers are encouraged to join our Gastroenterology & Hepatology team at Atrium Health Pineville, where clinical expertise, innovation, and a commitment to exceptional patient care come together. Position Highlights: 100% Adult Medicine; Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM; No nights or weekends; No call coverage; ½ day administrative time built into clinic schedule; Combination of outpatient clinic (one week) and inpatient responsibilities (separate week); Opportunity to practice within a collaborative, physician-led team model.

Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive hepatology care in clinic and inpatient settings; Conduct patient assessments, develop treatment plans, and manage follow-up care; Perform inpatient consults and participate in daily rounding when covering service; Manage average patient volume of ~12 patients/day in clinic

Requirements

Nurse Practitioner: Master’s or Doctorate in Nursing Practice, Active RN license, National board certification, Acute Care certification required based on population served; Physician Assistant: Graduate of accredited PA program, NCCPA certification required; Eligible for or active North Carolina license; Minimum 2 years clinical experience required; Strong clinical judgment and critical thinking; Effective communication and interpersonal skills; Ability to work autonomously; Strong prioritization and decision-making capabilities

Nice to have

Interest or experience in hepatology; GI, hospitalist or internal medicine experience
