Home Health Office Receptionist and CNA - Hybrid Role

We're looking for a versatile team member to fill a new hybrid role that blends front-office support with hands-on patient care. In this position, you'll primarily staff the front desk as our home health office receptionist, while also serving as a certified CNA available to complete field visits as patient care needs arise (field visits are typically completed within 45 minutes to a maximum of 1 hour.)

Responsibilities

Staff the front desk as home health office receptionist; Answer the telephone and receive messages; Receive and submit faxed information; Ensure confidentiality of all Protected Health Information; Assist in producing and completing documents, including plans of care; Check patient eligibility; Enter patient data; Schedule visits; Prepare invoices for payroll; Coordinate with private insurance companies for authorization; Add new physician information into the system; Complete field visits as a CNA; Provide safe and effective care to the sick and elderly; Take accurate temperature, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure; Perform simple procedures as an extension of the therapy service, as directed; Follow Universal Precautions; Coordinate care with the RN and report changes in patient condition; Participate in the Agency's QAPI meetings

Requirements

Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in the state of Texas; Years of home health experience as a CNA; Years of home health office experience; Experience in a skilled home health setting providing 45 to 60-minute visits to patients in their homes; Willing and able to commute to the office; Willing to do patient visits when needed
