Responsibilities

Completing home maintenance and repairs for home and commercial projects, with project length ranging from two hours to multiple days; Making recommendations and managing expectations with customers; Creating life-long customers by delivering a great experience and following the Mr. Handyman Way; Communicating daily with customers to help them understand needed work and manage scope and cost expectations; Asking for reviews and collecting payments using Square; Documenting the job while following the Mr. Handyman Way; Wearing proper PPE and booties to protect customers' homes

Requirements

Live within a 10-20 mile radius of our office in Lake Mary, FL; Have 8+ years’ experience as a paid handyman/home remodeling professional; Own all of your own tools; Be insurable for driving our vehicle; Complete a background and driving record check; Able to lift 50 pounds independently; Able to safely work at heights and work overhead for extended periods of time; Professional appearance and maintenance of company-provided vehicle; Strong proficiency in at least three of: carpentry work, bathroom improvements, kitchen improvements, painting inside and out, drywall work (minor and major repairs), general plumbing and electrical where allowed by law, floor installation and refurbishing, familiarity with building codes; Self-manage because you will be alone often; Provide excellent customer service while asking for reviews and collecting payments using Square; Have necessary work tools including ability to use technology; Document the job while following the Mr. Handyman Way; Wear proper PPE and booties to protect customers' homes

Nice to have

Experience with drywall finishing/repairs (matching knockdown, orange peel, popcorn texture); Carpentry (hanging doors, baseboards, rotted wood fascia, trim); Remodeling (bath, kitchen); Tile/flooring; Light plumbing and electrical experience
