Host/Hostess

The Host/Hostess is responsible for creating a warm and welcoming first impression for guests. This role manages seating, waitlists, guest flow, and communication with servers to ensure an efficient and enjoyable dining experience.

Responsibilities

Greet guests warmly and create a positive first impression; Manage reservations, waitlists, and seating charts to maximize service flow; Escort guests to tables and communicate server sections effectively; Answer phones, take messages, and provide basic restaurant information; Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand and entrance area; Assist with menus, to-go orders, and guest requests as needed; Monitor dining room activity and communicate with servers and management; Follow company policies, safety standards, and service procedures; Perform additional duties as assigned by management

Requirements

Excellent customer service and communication skills; Ability to multitask and remain calm in a fast-paced environment; Strong organizational and guest-flow management abilities; Professional appearance and friendly demeanor; Ability to stand and walk for extended periods

Nice to have

High school diploma or equivalent; Previous restaurant or hospitality experience; Customer service experience; Basic knowledge of reservation systems and POS platforms
