Inn Banquet Server - Flex

Flex position working an average of 20-29 hours per week (between 1000-1559 hours/year). Schedule will vary based on banquet event needs. As a Banquet Server, the role is to ensure planners, guests, speakers, and attendees are pleased, eager to return, and confident to recommend the venue to others, by executing events with world-class service through food and beverage service and setting up and breaking down Banquet/Meeting facilities. The position requires being a team player, anticipating guest needs, and providing a fun and friendly experience.

Responsibilities

Execute events with world-class service through the service of food and beverages; Set up and break-down Banquet/Meeting facilities; Anticipate all guest needs and provide a fun and friendly experience; Work closely with the Banquet Manager, Banquet Supervisor, Houseman, culinary team and other kitchen staff; Maintain banquet and meeting facilities during events, checking that breaks are re-stocked and tables are cleared; Complete breakdown and clean-up of banquet facilities at the conclusion of the function; Ensure all equipment, including china, glass, silver, and linen, is in its best possible working condition; Make certain back halls and pantry are clean and clear of equipment and storage areas are clean and organized; Ensure cleanliness of meeting rooms at all times; Maintain and organize all inventories and replace stock when delivered; Provide general support and assistance to the department, leadership, and company as required

Requirements

High school diploma (or GED); Minimum of six (6) months of related food and beverage experience; Demonstrated commitment to delivering world class guest service as part of a dynamic team; Outstanding organizational skills and the ability to multi-task and prioritize; Ability to exercise great judgment and proactively anticipate the needs of guests; Able to work in a fast-paced environment under deadlines; Adaptability; Applicants must be at least 18 years of age; Holiday and weekend availability; Able to lift/push/pull and carry 50 pounds; Endure various physical movements throughout the work area; Ability to stand/walk for extended periods of time; Work indoors and outside in all types of weather with fluctuations in temperature and conditions; Remain in stationary position for periods of 30+ minutes throughout the work shift; Ability to climb stairs as needed; Satisfactorily communicate with guests, management, and co-workers

Nice to have

Prior experience in banquets in a fine dining, an upscale catering, and/or luxury hotel/resort setting; Knowledge of various room set ups and standard equipment
