Internal Control Officer

Finary is a Paris-based AI-powered investment platform with more than 1,000,000 users, holding a MiCA crypto-asset service provider license and an Investment Firm license. The Internal Control Officer role executes the permanent control plan across all four licences, designing and running controls personally, writing evidence-based findings, and automating control work. The role reports to the Head of Compliance, in a team of five.

Responsibilities

Execute the permanent control plan: about 40 controls a year, 3 to 5 days each, across all four licences; Design each test and run it yourself: population, sampling, test steps, evidence; Write findings and recommendations based on evidence, and review them with the teams concerned; Improve the control plan: keep regulatory references up to date, raise the quality of each control, and run spot controls validated by the Head of Compliance; Follow every recommendation until it is closed: re-test, and escalate what is overdue; Automate as much as possible with data and AI tools, from testing full populations to keeping the control library current; Control only, with no operational tasks

Requirements

6+ years in permanent control, regulatory consulting or inspection in financial services, with controls executed personally; Working papers that have been through a regulator inspection or a periodic control (internal audit); Tested controls in at least two types of licensed institution (crypto-asset service provider, investment firm, payment or e-money institution, insurance intermediary); Testing with data and AI tools, with parts of control work already automated (a must); Findings based on evidence, taking business remarks into account when reviewing them; Ability to plan and deliver independently, following the control plan and risk map; Native-level French and professional English
