International Trade Associate

This is an excellent Washington, DC-based opportunity to assist global, multinational and other clients with all aspects of U.S. customs law; advising on optimizing trade operations, ensuring regulatory compliance and handling administrative actions. This is a rewarding opportunity to help clients implement procedures and practices that promote compliance with U.S. and international trade statutes. This dedicated team represents domestic and international clients in enforcement and compliance matters before U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP), including drafting customs protests, prior disclosures and ruling requests, as well as assisting clients in crafting responses to formal CBP requests for information and notices of action. Our client works with clients on strategic sourcing and import compliance issues, advising on a range of U.S. import law and regulation-related matters, including tariff classification, valuation, origin determination and marking, and enforcement. From multinational corporations with complex supply chains and global investments to small businesses looking to grow and manage operations on an international scale, our client provides experienced regulatory, policy and compliance counsel needed to navigate the evolving international trade landscape and pursue opportunities in the global marketplace. Responsibilities
