IT Infrastructure Engineer

Perform infrastructure upgrade tasks for vSphere 8. Work with other infrastructure teams and application end-users to perform various infrastructure maintenance tasks. Assess situations and perform proactive analytics for change to minimize issues before they evolve. Perform various infrastructure expansion tasks as it relates to VMware vSphere, Cisco UCS, and Dell. Conducting basic troubleshooting and root cause analysis for VMware vSphere, Cisco UCS, and Dell issues.

Responsibilities

Perform infrastructure upgrade tasks for vSphere 8; Work with other infrastructure teams and application end-users to perform various infrastructure maintenance tasks; Assess situations and perform proactive analytics for change to minimize issues before they evolve; Perform various infrastructure expansion tasks as it relates to VMware vSphere, Cisco UCS, and Dell; Conduct basic troubleshooting and root cause analysis for VMware vSphere, Cisco UCS, and Dell issues; Upgrade hardware firmware and Cisco UCS infrastructure; Upgrade CISCO UCS infrastructure and director central environment hardware infrastructure and ESXI upgraded to vSphere 8; Execute scripts and basic troubleshooting

Requirements

Strong background in virtualization and hardware troubleshooting, with the ability to effectively engage and collaborate with internal clients to resolve issues; Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to perform troubleshooting to identify and resolve complex network issues; Working knowledge in configuring and troubleshooting VMware vSphere products; Working knowledge in configuring and troubleshooting Cisco UCS; Working knowledge in configuring and troubleshooting Dell hardware; VMware vSphere 7, 8; Cisco UCS Hardware familiarity; Dell Hardware; Hyper-V/Vcenter; Min. 3-5 years of experience; Operations side maintenance of infrastructure and mainly work with Virtualization infrastructure, VMware; Large environment/enterprise exp is required; Basic Scripting exp; Knowledge of VCenter
