IT & Security Manager

SPINE builds and operates the technology foundation that keeps Wayve secure, connected and productive. Teams support a mixed Mac, Windows and Linux estate across offices, labs, garages and test facilities in six countries. The role leads a distributed IT and security team across the UK, Germany and the US, partnering with the Helpdesk, Network and Compliance teams.

Responsibilities

Lead, hire and develop a growing IT and security team while remaining hands-on for key technical decisions; Set direction across identity, endpoint management, security operations, SaaS and asset lifecycle; Review designs and standards and help engineers grow into trusted domain owners; Maintain clear ownership with peer leaders and ensure controls remain effective as Wayve scales; Own and evolve Okta, including SSO migrations, application onboarding, access automation and access revocation evidence; Strengthen endpoint security, vulnerability management, patching, privileged access and incident response across Mac, Windows and Linux; Improve device and asset lifecycle management, inventory accuracy, SaaS administration and licensing; Build scalable controls and reliable evidence for customer and security requirements, including TISAX, ISO 27001 or similar standards; Grow a newly formed team into a high-performing group of domain owners

Requirements

Have led an IT, security or infrastructure team, including hiring, performance management and developing engineers; Have deep hands-on experience with identity platforms such as Okta or Entra, endpoint management tools such as Jamf or Intune, and SaaS administration; Have managed Linux fleets alongside Mac and Windows environments; Have practical experience across security operations, including hardening, vulnerability and patch management, access reviews and incident response; Have implemented controls and produced evidence for a security certification or audit such as TISAX, ISO 27001 or SOC 2; Can use scripting or infrastructure-as-code tools to automate processes and set a strong technical standard; Are comfortable scaling a multi-site corporate environment and working collaboratively with peer leaders across clearly defined areas of ownership
