Responsibilities

Food Preparation – Daily preparation, presentation & operations of the Deli Counter; Customer Service- Ensuring consistent high levels of customer service at all times; Kitchen Cleanliness – Clean and sanitise kitchen surfaces, countertops, and food preparation areas. Empty rubbish bins and ensure proper disposal of waste materials; Inventory Management – Assist in receiving, storing, and organising kitchen supplies and ingredients; Compliance with Health and safety – maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen ensuring equipment is in good working order; Dishwashing – Wash dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment either by hand or using industrial dishwashers

Requirements

Past experience working in a deli is preferred but not essential; Fluent in the English Language , both written and spoken; Excellent customer service skills; Physical stamina and the ability to stand for extended periods and lift heavy objects; Good attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions; Basic knowledge of kitchen equipment and sanitation practices is a plus; Strong communication and teamwork skills; Must be available to work 5 days out of 7, including weekends
