Kitchen Manager - Shaughnessy's Pub

Marriott Syracuse Downtown seeks Kitchen Manager - Shaughnessy's Pub to supervise the day-to-day operations of the pub kitchen and to ensure Crescent Hotels & Resorts and Marriott brand high standards of cleanliness are met.

Responsibilities

Supervising the day-to-day operations of a kitchen; Ensuring smooth workflow and high-quality food output; Managing and training kitchen staff; Creating schedules and maintaining health and safety standards; Overseeing food preparation, monitoring presentation, and ensuring consistency across all dishes; Inventory management, ordering supplies, controlling food costs, coordinating with other departments; Handling customer feedback or kitchen-related issues; Other duties as assigned

Requirements

3-5 years' experience managing a busy kitchen; Experience working in a restaurant setting in a supervisory or managerial role (cannot be in fast food); Can demonstrate cooking skills if asked; Self-starting personality with an even disposition and maintain a professional appearance and manner at all times; Ability to communicate well with guests; Willingness to pitch in and help co-workers with their job duties and be a team player; Understanding that every Crescent associate is a guest relations ambassador
