Lead Customer Service Representative

This position includes providing prompt excellent customer service; maintaining store facility condition and equipment; merchandising and verifying vendor deliveries; controlling merchandise, cash shortages, and selling expenses; monitoring shift sales and cash handling; supervising customer service representatives in the absence of the Store Assistant Manager; coaching and training new employees; reporting incidents; and performing administrative shift duties. Full time with flexible shifts (days, evenings, overnights, weekends).

Responsibilities

Provides prompt excellent customer service in a courteous, friendly and attentive manner; Rings up all sales on cash register properly and accurately, handling money, checks, and other types of payment; Performs multi-function operation of fuel console, lottery machines, money order machine, telecom transactions; Maintains store facility condition and equipment by cleaning and performing housekeeping duties; Completes build-to's for ordering/purchasing merchandise and verifies vendor deliveries; Controls merchandise, cash shortages, and other selling expenses; Assists in maintaining proper inventory levels and shift audits; Monitors shift sales, cash handling procedures and daily close-out functions; Supervises customer service representatives in the absence of the Store Assistant Manager; Helps coach and train new employees; Reports all incidents including employee or customer injuries, theft, property damage, or improper sanitation or waste disposal; Performs shift change duties such as counting the cash drawer and completing reports; Provides regular and predictable onsite attendance; Completes daily store reports and other duties as assigned by the Store Manager

Nice to have

High school diploma or GED; Experience in retail sales; Ability to perform the four (4) basic arithmetic operations (add, subtract, multiply and divide)
