AmaliTech is a global consulting and technology services provider, enabling businesses to scale their digital capabilities, accelerate innovation, and bridge critical tech talent gaps.

With a team of over 500 professionals operating across Germany, the US, Ghana, and Rwanda, we blend the strategic insight of tier-one consulting expertise with the technical excellence of certified software engineers and data scientists to deliver digital solutions at globally competitive rates.

Our services-spanning consulting, AI, data analytics, cloud transformation, cybersecurity, web & app development, and managed services-are tailored to meet the unique needs of our clients while ensuring smooth, real-time collaboration across global teams.

As a social business, we reinvest our surplus into initiatives that advance skill-building and inclusion in the tech space in sub-Saharan Africa.

As a Lead Data Architect, Client Delivery, you will own the technical delivery of two large, fast-growing US data accounts from our Ghana service centre. You will be the senior hands-on architect and delivery lead that client teams and our engineers rely on every day, BI and software engineers, and keep quality high as the accounts grow.

Why This Role Exists

Our data consulting practice is growing faster than our senior bench. Two anchor US clients now run multi-workstream programmes: enterprise data lakes on Microsoft Fabric that consolidate several ERPs, executive finance and operations reporting, and AI applications built on top of that data. New requests arrive every month.

We need a second senior technical leader who can run delivery with little day-to-day oversight. That frees our Director of Data to grow these accounts further and to take on new clients of similar size.

Strong Plus

Core stack : Microsoft Fabric · Power BI · PySpark · SQL · Azure DevOps · SAP ECC · Medallion architecture

Responsibilities

Own the target data architecture for each account, including Medallion lakehouse design (Bronze/Silver/Gold), semantic models, naming conventions, lineage and access control; Design integrations from several source systems into one governed platform. Typical sources are SAP ECC, Infor, CMiC, Sage 300 and Salesforce, plus operational apps and APIs; Set and enforce engineering standards: code review, CI/CD in Azure DevOps or GitHub, testing and data-validation gates, runbooks and documentation; Review designs and pull requests from engineers, and step in hands-on when a pipeline, model or deadline is at risk.; Act as day-to-day technical lead for client stakeholders, up to senior executive level, run working sessions, gather business rules and turn them into delivery plans; Plan and track delivery across parallel workstreams, flagging risks and blockers early with a proposed fix and a clear ask of the client; Write concise executive updates and own the quality of everything the team sends to the client.; Spot follow-on opportunities, then help shape scope, estimates and statements of work, including AI use cases with a clear business case; Coach mid-level leads and grow junior engineers into owners of their workstreams. Build reusable playbooks so each new engagement starts faster; Support staffing of new projects: interview candidates, plan onboarding and balance load across accounts.

Requirements

BSc in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, IT, or a related field; 8+ years of experience in Data Engineering or Business Intelligence (BI), including 3+ years as an architect or technical lead on production platforms; Proven delivery on Microsoft Fabric or Azure (Synapse, Data Factory, Databricks on Azure), with strong Power BI semantic-model and governance skills; Expert SQL and Python/PySpark, with strong dimensional modelling skills, including slowly changing dimensions and harmonising data across domains; Experience integrating ERP data (finance, job cost, AP/AR, inventory) and knows how to get and validate the business rules behind it; Experience leading external clients or senior business stakeholders in a consultancy, agency or product company where client delivery comes first; Clear written English and the ability to explain technical trade-offs to non-technical executives.

Nice to have

Experience working with US clients across time zones; Applied shipped AI on enterprise data: LLM assistants over governed data, document capture, agent workflows; Some application development (C#/.NET or TypeScript), so you can steer software workstreams as well as data; Experience leading teams of mixed seniority, including graduates and apprentices; Familiarity with Microsoft Fabric, Power BI, PySpark, SQL, Azure DevOps and Medallion architecture.

Benefits

Senior ownership in a young, fast-growing consulting practice, working directly with the Global Director of Data, VP North America and COO.; Large, varied enterprise data problems with real business impact and executive visibility.; Partnerships with Microsoft, AWS and Anthropic, with certification support.; A mission-driven company building world-class tech careers in Africa; Pension benefits (Tier 1, 2, Provident fund); Bonuses and end-of-year package; Internet data allocation for remote work; Medical insurance; Lunch Allowance; Employee welfare benefits (for weddings, funerals); Employee bonding activities (bi-monthly happy hour, sporting activities)
