Licensed Registered Technician - Bulk Compounding

Assists pharmacists by compounding, preparing, labelling, and dispensing medications under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist.

Responsibilities

Assists pharmacists by compounding, preparing, labelling, and dispensing medications under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist; Maintains all requirements for licensure as a registered pharmacy technician, in accordance with New York State Education Law; Performs duties consistent with medication compounding; Identifies problems and provides basic troubleshooting skills to maintain operation of technology to ensure the highest level of safety; Participates in and reinforces environmental monitoring and compliance required by USP standards

Requirements

High School diploma; Be of good moral character, including application of ICARE values; Completed ASHP accredited training program or equivalent experience as a pharmacy technician upon hire; Certification from a nationally accredited pharmacy technician certification program (Currently PTCB) and maintain ongoing education requirements upon hire; PHRMTECH-R - Registered Pharmacy Technician upon hire
