Line Cook

We are seeking a skilled and dependable Line Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate is passionate about food, detail-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced, team-driven kitchen environment. As a Line Cook at Motto, you will prepare high-quality dishes in accordance with our recipes and standards while upholding cleanliness and food safety protocols.

Responsibilities

Prepare and cook menu items according to standardized recipes and guidelines; Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies; Ensure food comes out to spec in a timely fashion; Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and workstations; Follow proper food handling and sanitation standards; Assist with receiving and storing deliveries, ensuring proper stock rotation; Communicate effectively with front-of-house staff and kitchen team; Assist in maintaining inventory and minimizing food waste; Contribute to a positive and professional kitchen culture

Requirements

1+ year of experience in a professional kitchen; Knowledge of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures; Strong attention to detail and organizational skills; Ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment; Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays; Team player with a strong work ethic and a passion for hospitality; Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.; Manual dexterity to carry trays and serve food and beverages; Capacity to work in a noisy and busy environment.
