Loader/Unloader - 2nd Shift (11am to 7pm) 6809

We are looking to hire a Loader/Unloader for our Daniels’ medical waste treatment facility in Des Moines, IA. A Loader/Unloader has a widely varying role, from checking in containers, double checking paperwork, moving/unloading specific waste containers, and operating a forklift to load an autoclave. The ideal loader/unloader is an individual who likes variety in their work and can think through practical problems.

Responsibilities

Checking in containers; double checking paperwork; moving/unloading specific waste containers; operating a forklift to load an autoclave; weighing incoming sharps and regulated medical waste containers using the Weighbridge; driving a forklift and operating hand trucks once trained; lifting 55lbs and pushing a four-wheeled cart weighing up to 200lbs; providing attention to detail with paperwork; standing for extended periods; working well with a team

Requirements

Can-do attitude; committed to efficient, timely scheduling; previous experience in a labor-intensive job (repetitive lifting of 50lbs to 75lb containers); proven longevity with employers; likes variety in work; ability to think through practical problems; ability to lift 55lbs and push a four-wheeled cart weighing up to 200lbs; ability to stand for extended periods
