Locum Paediatric Occupational Therapist

We are currently seeking experienced Paediatric Occupational Therapists for an exciting locum opportunity within a Local Authority Children's Occupational Therapy Service in Cheshire. We are looking for candidates with substantial paediatric and local authority experience who are confident working within statutory Children's Services.

Responsibilities

Completing comprehensive paediatric occupational therapy assessments; Managing and prioritising waiting lists; Liaising closely with MDT colleagues and other professionals; Assessing for and recommending specialist equipment; Assessing for major adaptations and making appropriate recommendations; Contributing to statutory Local Authority functions; Providing specialist OT advice to children, families and professionals; Working collaboratively with education, health and social care services

Requirements

HCPC registration; Band 6/7 equivalent experience; Strong paediatric Occupational Therapy experience; Previous Local Authority experience; Excellent assessment and clinical reasoning skills; Ability to work autonomously and as part of a wider MDT; Substantial paediatric and local authority experience; Confidence working within statutory Children's Services
