The Machinist Technician I supports manufacturing operations by setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC and conventional machining equipment. This position produces quality parts according to engineering drawings, specifications, and established processes while maintaining a safe and productive work environment.

Salary Pay Range

$23.28 - $31.46 USD Hourly

Responsibilities

Set up and operate CNC and/or conventional machining equipment.; Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and work instructions.; Use precision measuring equipment such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, and height gauges.; Perform basic machine adjustments and tool changes.; Inspect parts to ensure they meet dimensional and quality requirements.; Identify machining issues and communicate problems to supervisors or experienced machinists.; Perform basic troubleshooting and routine machine maintenance.; Maintain accurate production and quality records.; Follow all safety, quality, and production procedures.; Maintain a clean and organized work area.; Support continuous improvement and lean manufacturing activities.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.; Basic knowledge of machining principles and manufacturing processes.; Ability to read blueprints and use precision measuring tools.; Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.; Previous machining or manufacturing experience preferred.; Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
