Maintanance Technician

The Facility Operations Manager, working and planning with the in conjunction with the Maintenance Crew and Trade Contractors, is responsible for the maintenance of all areas of Mountain Health Arena

Responsibilities

Ensure that all safety precautions are followed at all times; Maintains work area in a clean and orderly manner to reduce hazards; Leads, directs, participates in, and provides insight into the maintenance of HVAC and related systems and computerized maintenance management systems; Programs and monitors the BMS to ensure energy efficiency scheduling/operation of the HVAC and other systems; Operate, monitor, repair and maintain the facility's mechanical systems, plumbing, irrigation, environmental controls, emergency power, electrical, HVAC and lighting systems; Trains maintenance personnel; Verifying completed maintenance and entering the data into a tracking system; Hires, schedules, and supervises maintenance staff; Provide safety and operational training as required; Project management as assigned by the Director of Operations; Directs contracted building maintenance; Responsible for the athletic playing surface upkeep, maintenance, protection, and conversions; Attend professional development training sessions as directed

Requirements

Follow and give verbal and written instructions and communicate effectively with others; Maintain an effective working relationship with clients, employees, exhibitors, patrons, and others; Ability to work flexible hours based on event schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays; Physical ability to perform tasks that may require prolonged standing, stooping, lifting and walking; Must be able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds; Ability to work inside or outside environments as necessary; Proficiency with general office PC applications; High School diploma or GED certificate; Ability to manage complex logistics in support of large, public events; Ability to multi-task, work well under pressure, and meet deadlines in a fast paced environment; Demonstrate problem-solving skills; Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills; Demonstrate customer service skills; Must be age 18 or older; Ability to work with a diverse workforce; Friendly and courteous; Maintain a professional appearance and grooming; Able to stand for long periods of time, walk long distances and climb stairs
