Maintenance Mechanic 2 - Weekend Shift (Friday, Sat, & Sunday; 6:45pm -7:00am)

The Maintenance Mechanic’s duties include installing, troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing equipment while following all work practices and procedures. Mechanics will ensure and help maintain a safe work environment while supporting the internal customer to achieve the site's business goals and objectives.

Responsibilities

Install, troubleshoot, maintain, and repair equipment; Support packaging lines by making routine and non-routine adjustments; Collaborate with other departments and Maintenance Mechanics; Perform preventive maintenance, changeovers, repairs, and running adjustments; Provide guidance and on-the-job training; Use hand tools and power tools; Detect faulty operations and report unusual situations; Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders; Perform SMED activities on packaging lines; Execute initiatives relating to OPEX objectives; Analyze equipment failures to improve reliability; Update setup documentation; Audit and maintain 5S; Attend Tier I Daily Directional Setting (DDS) meeting

Requirements

Skill testing requirements met at approved grade level for position; At least 2-3 years applicable maintenance experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment or 2-year Technical School; Basic mathematical and computer skills; Ability to perform basic computer tasks and operate common computer programs; Minimum professional proficiency: ability to speak effectively in conversations and read standard items; High reasoning: ability to solve practical problems and deal with concrete variables in limited standardization; Ability to interpret a variety of instructions
