Maintenance Mechanic/Technician

Responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repairs to machinery, equipment, physical structures, and electrical systems.

Responsibilities

Responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repairs to machinery, equipment, physical structures, and electrical systems; Perform a variety of installations and preventative maintenance on plant and facility equipment; Diagnose, troubleshoot and repair manufacturing equipment including electrical and plumbing; Diagnose, troubleshoot and repair pumps, boilers, steam system, water system, hydraulic system, pneumatic system, and any fluid system; Handle tools and equipment properly and use required protective gear; Perform light welding, grinding and cutting; Comply with all Federal State and Company Safety Guidelines and procedures; Participate in the development of preventative maintenance procedures for various pieces of equipment; Responsible for wastewater treatment operations; Work with little supervision; Some overtime and/or weekend work may be required

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED equivalent; High level of demonstrated mechanical experience and aptitude required; Experience with welding, electrical, boilers, refrigeration, machinery repair and PLC troubleshooting and programs; Strong analytical and computer skills; Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; Must be able to work independently and a part of a team

Nice to have

1-3 years maintenance mechanic experience preferred; Experience with maintenance on blow mold equipment a plus
