Maintenance Technician II - FT - Night Flex - MHP

Performs healthcare maintenance of building and grounds equipment, finishes, systems and structures through scheduled rounds and responding to work order and requests. Acts as a mentor to employees and as a resource on more complex and technical maintenance issues.

Responsibilities

Acts as a mentor to employees and as a resource on more complex and technical maintenance issues; Repairs mechanical equipment and systems including motors, pumps, pneumatic tube, plumbing systems, sanitary systems, specialized water systems, medical gas outlets, plumbing fixtures, blowers, and fans; Conducts routine to specialized preventive maintenance and specialized equipment safety checks; Coordinates and advises other departments, contractors, and staff for department projects and maintenance; Acts as a resource for advanced troubleshooting and updates leadership and appropriate staff on maintenance situations and conditions; Assists with emergencies such as the Hurricane Activation Plan; Maintains logs and computerized preventive and corrective maintenance repair files; Reads and follows blueprints, schematic, charts, computerized maintenance work orders, schedules and written instructions; Performs general maintenance functions including carpentry, painting, interior finishes, millwork, doors and windows

Requirements

High School Diploma or Equivalent; Three (3) years of maintenance experience; Extensive knowledge of code requirements, power tools and appropriate building materials
