Maintenance Technician

Currently, our Windows division in Medford, Wisconsin, a growing, major window and door manufacturer with manufacturing facilities located in Alabama, California, and Wisconsin, is seeking a qualified 2nd shift Maintenance Technician.

Responsibilities

Run, maintain, and repair all mechanical parts and machinery in a manufacturing facility; Troubleshoot, install, replace, and repair machines and equipment including mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems; Dismantle machinery and equipment, locate cause of malfunctioning or mechanical breakdown, replace parts from stock or fabricate replacement parts as needed; Fabricate machine components for repairs and improvements of mechanical devices; Effectively conduct and assess diagnostic tests to ensure optimum system functionality; Assemble, install, and proactively maintain mechanical systems, machinery, and equipment for efficient operation; Operate arc welder, cutting torch, hand tools, and forklift; Fabricate, weld, mill, and lathe as needed; Perform general maintenance in a safe and efficient manner and maintain a clean work area; Work may consist of various shifts and overtime including weekends and holidays during busy production times

Requirements

2 years’ recent verifiable related work history or equivalent education; Proficient in welding, cutting, and using hand tools for repairs; Experience using motor control circuits, 480 volt 3-phase AC/DC motors, starters, electrical, and hydraulic systems; Working knowledge of pneumatics, pumps, motors, gearboxes, conveyors, and bearings; Proven experience using forklift, man lift, and most rigging equipment; Ability to recognize, report, and repair mechanical defects
