Manager, Accounting (Consolidations) - Global Industrial

The Manager, Corporate Accounting and Consolidation and for Global Industrial, oversees the accounting for corporate expenses, assets, and liabilities and owns the global consolidation process. The position partners closely with HR/Benefits, Risk Management, Legal, FP&A, Finance leadership, SEC Reporting, Tax, subsidiaries, Internal Audit, and external auditors to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance with U.S. GAAP. This role plays a critical leadership position in safeguarding accounting integrity while supporting strategic business initiatives.

Responsibilities

Oversee month-end close for HR/Benefits, Risk Management, Legal, and Treasury functions; Supervise accounting for share-based compensation and dividends; Supervise intercompany process and intercompany allocations; Provide strategic leadership and full ownership of the monthly global consolidation process; Manage close calendar and coordinate with subsidiaries, IT, Finance leadership, SEC Reporting, Tax, and FP&A; Develop, implement, and continuously improve standardized best practices leveraging technology; Partner with Tax and IT to implement new legal structure changes and integrate acquisitions; Conduct detailed variance analysis; Lead and enforce SOX compliance controls related to consolidation processes; Serve as key liaison with internal and external auditors on consolidation; Lead or support enterprise-wide finance initiatives and special projects

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in accounting required; Active CPA (or equivalent certification) required; 5+ years of progressive accounting experience; Solid understanding of financial statements and accounting principles; Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (financial modelling, pivot tables, formulas); Meticulous attention to detail; Excellent analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills; Excellent oral/written communication skills
