Manufacturing Labor

This position can be assigned to any of the three main production departments within the manufacturing facility: Stamping, Assembly, and Finish. Part of Marmon Holdings, backed by Berkshire Hathaway. Wilbert Funeral Services, Inc. manufactures metal burial caskets.

Responsibilities

Stamp parts for metal burial caskets using different types of presses depending on the part needed; Weld and grind stamped parts of metal burial caskets; Install finishing parts of metal burial caskets, including bed, mattress, fabric coverings, hardware, panels, etc.; Remain actively signed off on 0-8 production-related jobs within assigned department

Requirements

Dependable; Flexible; Excellent observation skills for quality standards; High standards of safety; Must have the ability to follow standard and complex instructions; Perform in a fast-paced environment; Operate machinery, small and/or heavy; Lift or move materials, parts, or finished goods; Ability to handle, lift, and load caskets up to approximately 100 lbs; Frequently required to stand, walk, sit, talk or hear

Nice to have

High School, GED, or equivalent (preferred); Experience as Press Operator (preferred); Experience in Welding/Grinding (preferred); Experience in Sewing (preferred); Experience with Hand Tools (preferred)
