Mechanical Engineer - Hyperscale Data Center

We are seeking a qualified and proactive Mechanical Engineer to support the design review, construction supervision, and commissioning of mechanical systems for a large-scale hyperscale data center project in Thailand.

Responsibilities

Review and validate mechanical system designs, drawings, and specifications (HVAC, chilled water systems, piping, ventilation, etc.); Monitor and supervise mechanical works on-site, ensuring compliance with approved designs and construction standards; Review and comment on contractor submittals, including shop drawings, material submissions, and method statements; Ensure compliance with project specifications, international standards, and local regulatory requirements; Conduct regular site inspections to verify quality of installation, workmanship, and progress; Coordinate closely with electrical, CSA, and ELV teams to ensure proper system integration; Support and oversee testing and commissioning activities, including pre-functional and functional testing; Identify and manage non-conformance reports (NCRs) and ensure corrective actions are properly implemented; Monitor project progress against schedule and highlight risks, delays, and technical challenges; Participate in technical and coordination meetings, providing input on mechanical systems and interfaces; Assist in snagging, de-snagging, and final inspections prior to project handover; Maintain accurate technical documentation, reports, and records in line with project requirements; Ensure compliance with HSE standards and promote safe working practices on site

Requirements

Minimum 5 years of experience in mechanical engineering within construction or MEP projects; Proven experience in large-scale projects, preferably data centers, mission-critical facilities, or industrial developments; Strong expertise in data center cooling systems (e.g., chillers, CRAH/CRAC, cooling towers, chilled water distribution); Good understanding of HVAC design, installation practices, and system integration; Experience in site supervision, QA/QC processes, and contractor coordination; Familiarity with testing and commissioning processes for mechanical systems; Experience working in fast-track, high-specification projects with strict quality standards
