Medical Assistant (MA) I, Cardiology Clinic

Cardiology is seeking a reliable and professional Medical Assistant who will mainly support Dr. Solis. This role will require travel to 4131w Loomis Rd, Greenfield WI. Hours: Monday-Friday 7:00am-5:00pm (8-hour shifts).

Responsibilities

Welcome patients and support their transition into care; Take and record vital signs, medical histories, and health screenings; Prepare patients for exams and assist providers during procedures; Administer medications and vaccines as directed; Perform lab-related tasks including specimen collection and point-of-care testing; Document care accurately in the electronic health record; Partner with physicians, nurses, and teammates to deliver high-quality, coordinated care

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED required; Completion of an accredited or approved program in Medical Assistant, or 2 years of verifiable full-time experience as a Medical Assistant within the last 5 years; Must sit, stand, walk, lift, squat, bend, twist, crawl, kneel, climb, and reach above shoulders throughout the workday; Ability to lift 35 pounds without assistance; For patient lifts over 35 pounds, or when patient is unable to assist with lift, patient handling equipment is expected to be used, with at least one other team member, when available; Must have functional speech, vision, hearing, and touch with ability to use fine-hand manipulation skills; Will be exposed to mechanical, electrical, chemical, blood and body fluids hazards on a frequent basis; Will be required to wear protective clothing and equipment as needed; Operates all equipment necessary to perform the job
