Medical Science Liaison / Senior Medical Science Liaison - Oncology - West

The EVERSANA Medical Science Liaison/Senior Medical Science Liaison (MSL) functions as a highly trained, field-based, scientific expert in oncology, who engages health care professionals and leaders in clinical, scientific, value-based care and research-based peer to peer scientific exchange around our client's pipeline of products. Following regulatory and corporate guidelines, the MSL will facilitate and build scientific relationships and collaborations with scientific communities. This position interacts with local, regional, and national Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and health care practitioners (HCPs), as well as professional societies and organizations. The MSL will need to be fully engaged with pertinent professional societies, as well as other value-based institutions and associations including clinics and centers that are involved with the treatment of solid tumors, beginning with urologists, radiation and medical oncologists treating locally advanced prostate cancer. The MSL will be the field based scientific expert regarding our client's products.

Responsibilities

Function as primary medical point of contact in geographic area; Maintain clinical and scientific expertise in oncology with focus on standards of care for locally advanced prostate cancer and other solid tumors; Engage in compliant, robust, and accurate scientific peer exchange around client's pipeline; Develop and track KOL engagement plans; Identify, develop, and maintain long-term collaborative relationships with KOLs; Engage in medical and scientific exchange with medical/scientific community including advisory boards; Manage territory and development; Respond to unsolicited requests for information; Collaborate with R&D team to support clinical trial sites and investigators; Conduct pre-launch KOL profiling efforts; Work collaboratively with commercial colleagues; Provide internal teams with feedback and insights from KOL interactions; Represent client at medical meetings; Attend congresses and develop internal reports; Adhere to corporate SOPs and legal/regulatory guidelines; Provide medical support, clinical input, and/or training for internal teams

Requirements

Advanced degree (e.g., PharmD, PhD, MD, MSN, or NP/PA) is required; MSL: minimum 2 years previous MSL experience with minimum 1 year in oncology and/or immunology with working knowledge of viral immunotherapy and gene therapy; Sr. MSL: minimum 5 years pharma experience and 3 years rare disease, oncology and/or immunology experience; Prior product launch experience required; Exhibits highest level of scientific, business, and clinical acumen with excellent communication and networking skills; Ability to interpret and present scientific data to engage KOLs; Working knowledge of standards of care for prostate cancer required; Ability to present complex scientific and value and evidence data to payors and/or formulary committees required; Working knowledge of institutions and clinics in selected geographies expected

Nice to have

Genitourinary oncology experience; Previous experience sharing scientific content with payer systems; Working knowledge of NCCN Guidelines, NCI Cooperative Groups and Oncology Research Consortiums
