MidLevel Software Developer

The individual will work with a team of dynamic and innovative engineers to develop new capabilities supporting the front end processing of data for a mission critical tool. The individual will also support the modernization of the front end processing services. Support the modernization of malware analysis and develop techniques for metadata storage for knowledge management to support the defense of national security systems. The engineer will be a part of a team who explores new technologies and prototypes new mission tools and analytics. The team also develops new algorithms and innovative techniques to address mission related problems.

Responsibilities

Requirements

You must have a current or active security clearance with a poly; Possess Fourteen (14) + years of experience as a software engineer in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required or 4 more years experience; Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required OR 4 years of additional Software Engineer experience on projects with similar software processes may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree; Experience developing containerized applications (Kubernetes/Docker); Ability to develop high-quality, efficient, and testable code; Ability to debug complex, system-wide issues; Java Application (no front end necessary), REST; Ability to multitask and pivot to different tasks quickly; Experience with Atlassian tools, Git; Experience with IntelliJ or Eclipse IDE

Nice to have

Kotlin; Kubernetes; Experience with Message Broker Software (RabbitMQ/etc.); Spring or Spring Boot; Python; Mongo; Nifi
