Chetwynd Forest Industries is recruiting for a Millwright.

Responsibilities

Work in a safe manner using established SOPs, following all lockouts and protocols, and completing PTHAs; Preventative maintenance and repair of conveyors, various belt and chain transfer and drive systems, sawing, debarking, sorting, stacking, and compressors; Operate hoisting and lifting devices to position machinery and parts during the assembly, installation, set-up and repair of equipment and machinery; Work in man-lifts with the use of fall protection equipment; Repair and maintenance of hydraulic systems, pumps, valves and cylinders; Work positively in a team environment

Requirements

Commitment to working safely and creating a safe workplace; A valid Inter-Provincial or Provincial Journeyperson Millwright certification or a Millwrighting Apprentice preparing to enroll in their 4th; Mechanical aptitude; excellent problem-solving skills; Ability to work closely with other trades and employees; Strong communication and interpersonal skills; Flexible schedule for workdays, nights, and weekend shifts

Sawmill experience is an asset
