Responsibilities

Independently prepare pit phase designs and short-term mine plans.; Integrate short-term plans into long-term LOM plans to avoid bottlenecks.; Analyze and interpret short-term plans to ensure alignment with operational objectives.; Prepare monthly and weekly plans by coordinating activities and adjusting approaches as needed.; Supervise daily survey work, drilling, and blasting to prioritize planning goals.; Monitor and control mining activities, ensuring compliance with plans and specifications.; Prepare annual budgets and long-term plans with construction and operational schedules.; Respond to internal and external requests, keep up-to-date with trends and technologies in mine design.; Research and recommend process, technology, or methodology improvements.; Prepare technical manuals, reports, and communication materials.; Contribute to development of engineering policies and practices.; Design drill patterns based on operational parameters.; Conduct equipment studies to verify production targets.; Ensure pit designs are correctly implemented in the field.; Coordinate production surveying.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Mining Engineering, or a related field.; Relevant professional certification or licensure in geology or mine surveying is preferred.; Minimum 3-5 years of experience in mining planning, preferably long-term planning.; Experience with geological modeling, production planning, and resource optimization.; Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.; Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and database management.; Understanding of geostatistical methods and orebody modeling.; Good written and verbal communication skills in English and Dutch, Mandarin is considered an asset.; Willingness to work at the Rosebel Gold Mines site, primarily in Brokopondo, on a rotational schedule of fourteen (14) consecutive working days, followed by seven (7) consecutive days off, in accordance with operational requirements.; If selected, you will be required to submit a Police Clearance Certificate (“Bewijs van Goed Gedrag”).
