MRI Technologist

Deliver diagnostic excellence—producing high-resolution MRI images with precision, safety, and compassion while keeping patients calm and cared for through every scan. At SimonMed Imaging, MRI is not a modality for the passive or the impatient. Our MRI Technologists are essential to delivering the advanced outpatient imaging our patients and referring physicians depend on. From brain and spine to cardiac and MSK protocols, this role demands that precision, physics knowledge, and people skills all show up at the same time, every time.

Responsibilities

Deliver diagnostic excellence by producing high-resolution MRI images with precision, safety, and compassion; Operate MRI scanners to produce high-resolution diagnostic images; Select appropriate imaging techniques based on physician orders and patient condition; Evaluate own work before it reaches a radiologist; Apply MRI safety mindset and enforce safety zones Zone I through Zone IV; Screen thoroughly, assess contrast contraindications, and monitor patients during procedures; Manage own workflow, perform routine quality control checks, and maintain equipment; Provide compassionate patient care with correct positioning and plain-language explanations; Mentor new staff and students and model best practices; Maintain clean, complete, and current patient documentation in PACS and imaging software

Requirements

ARRT-MR or ARMRIT certification required; Valid state licensure current (where required); Hands-on CPR/BLS certified and current; Graduate of an accredited Radiologic or MRI Technology program; MRI safety zones and screening protocols second nature; Proficiency in PACS and imaging software systems; Confident in contrast administration and contraindication assessment; Strong communication skills with patients, physicians, and teammates; Calm under pressure and sharp under a deadline; Willingness to mentor staff and students and contribute to a positive clinical culture
