Nutrition Assistant - PT - Days - MHW

Assists patients with menu selections and meal service based on the physician-ordered diet parameters.

Responsibilities

Assists patients with menu selections and meal service based on the physician-ordered diet parameters; Helps patients to make menu selections that comply with their dietary requirements and restrictions; Receives and responds to phone calls regarding patient and guest meal orders; Maintains and documents food preferences, diet orders and food allergies; Collaborates with assigned nursing units to enhance the patient experience; Assembles patient meal trays based on menu selections made in compliance with the patients dietary requirements and restrictions; Assists with patient/guest satisfaction initiatives; Resolves, refers, and/or reports service quality issues as appropriate; Ensures that patient meal process is completed in accordance with time expectations

Requirements

High School Diploma or Equivalent; Requires critical thinking skills; decisive judgment; ability to work with minimal supervision; must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action; One (1) year customer service related experience
