Occupational Therapist - APM Graduate Program

We are looking for passionate graduates who want to make a real difference in the lives of those they treat, to join our one-year Graduate Program at our Canberra office. You’ll work with a team of dedicated allied health professionals, supporting your clients on their journey to return to work and return to life after physical or psychological injury. Our Graduate Program will provide you with a well-rounded knowledge base with fortnightly technical training to accelerate your career, with 1-1 mentorship from a senior clinician along the way to make sure you are supported as you learn.

Responsibilities

Completing office-based and vehicle ergonomic assessments; Activities of Daily Living assessments for equipment or household services prescription; Conducting worksite assessments to interpret the physical demands and environment your client may work in and to understand what duties they can complete to achieve their short-term and long-term return-to-work goals; Completing functional capacity evaluations; Collaborating with other health practitioners (including other Allied Health professionals, GPs and Surgeons) through case conferencing; Organising rehabilitation activities for your client incl. Pilates, Hydrotherapy, etc.; Reviewing and analysing medical reports e.g. MRIs, X-Rays, etc.

Requirements

Hold a degree in Occupational Therapy; Be eligible for AHPRA membership, upon graduating; Have graduated in the last 12 months or graduating in 2026; Pass a national criminal check, prior to commencing employment; Have full Australian working rights; Hold a full drivers’ license, your own vehicle and comprehensive insurance; Enthusiasm and dedication; Effective communication skills; Keen eye for detail; Core time management skills; Desire to thrive and continue to grow in a personal and professional manner; Readiness to collaborate and bring fresh ideas to the wider team; Commitment to having a positive impact on people’s lives
