Operations Internship

Pattern accelerates brands on global ecommerce marketplaces leveraging proprietary technology and AI. We are looking for a driven Operations Intern with a basic understanding of operations and supply chain principles who is ready for an immersive, real-world experience. Under the supervision of our staff, the Operations Intern can expect to work with data, build reports, and assist the Operations team with various tasks. This internship offers a year-long hybrid work schedule, running from May 2025 - May 2026 in Lehi, Utah. During the summer months the role is full-time, but will transition to part-time during the academic year.

Responsibilities

Working side by side with the Operations Business Intelligence Analyst on reporting and analysis requests, and shadowing other members of the Operations department; Pulling, cleaning, and validating operational data from multiple sources, and maintaining accurate and complete operational records; Building and refreshing weekly and monthly reports, dashboards, and spreadsheets that track key metrics; Monitoring inventory, orders, and shipments across marketplaces and fulfillment partners, spotting anomalies and trends; Digging into ad hoc questions from Operations team members and presenting findings in a clear, concise summary; Documenting reporting logic, data definitions, and processes, and identifying opportunities to automate manual tasks; Owning a small project or analysis during the internship and sharing findings and recommendations; Taking on additional tasks or projects to learn more about ecommerce operations, business intelligence, and supply chain management

Requirements

Currently pursuing a degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Business, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, Data Analytics, Information Systems, or a related field; Possess an understanding of operations, supply chain, and business principles and a positive attitude; Proficiency with Excel or Google Sheets, including comfort with formulas, pivot tables, and lookups, and an ease working with large data sets; Familiarity with SQL or BI and data visualization tools is a plus; a strong interest in learning them is a must; Natural curiosity and an analytical mindset; Strong attention to detail, with the ability to maintain accuracy when working with large volumes of data; Demonstrate collaboration, trustworthiness, receptiveness to feedback, and eagerness to learn; Demonstrate strong organization and communication skills, including the ability to explain data and findings clearly to non-technical teammates, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines; Handle sensitive or confidential information with honesty and integrity; Learn to work as part of the Operations team to compile and analyze data, track information, and support the company or client.

Nice to have

Familiarity with SQL; Familiarity with BI and data visualization tools
