Operations Manager (Night)

As the Night Operations Manager, you oversee the under-the-roof activity during the night, with full accountability for inbound processing, scanning, sorting accuracy, and pre set-off readiness. You lead supervisor and handler teams during night hours, maintain safety and standards, manage real-time escalations, and ensure the depot runs smoothly from first inbound activity through to start of set-off.

Responsibilities

Lead shift during rotation - managing Shift Managers, Coordinators - to meet operational SLAs; Receive handover from Day team, deliver strong handover to Day Manager & GM and explain any deviation between actual and target performance; Oversee night-shift staffing and lead the team to ensure parcels are accurately processed, sorted, and tracked as efficiently as possible; Resolve any exceptions or escalations and set up the warehouse floor for a seamless morning handoff; Lead, inspire, develop and performance manage team on the shift rotation; Drive continuous improvement initiatives and develop standards and operating procedures; Maintain safety, standards, and productivity discipline; Accountable for all in-depot night activities including people, safety, quality, and cost

Requirements

4-6 years’ experience leading fast-paced Nightshifts / last-mile operations; Strong understanding of processing SLAs, routing cut-offs; Hands-on shift leadership with ability to manage 30–100+ staff via supervisors; Ability to lead and coach team; High urgency, strong communication, strong escalation habits; Comfortable solving real-time operational pressure during peak windows; Able to work constructively cross-functionally
