Part Time Hospital Medical Waste/Sharps Technician - 6784

Daniels Health is looking for a Part Time Field Service Technician to join our team and help support hospitals across Illinois with critical medical waste services. This is not a desk job—you’ll be on your feet, moving, lifting, and making a real impact every day.

Responsibilities

Working directly with hospital staff to ensure safe and timely medical waste container exchanges and proper segregation; Inspecting and servicing Daniels Health containers in clinical areas, including entering procedural spaces and working around sensitive equipment and patients; Lifting containers (up to 50 lbs) and pushing/pulling carts (up to 300 lbs) throughout the day; Maintaining inventory of containers and ensuring all areas are stocked and organized; Using a company-provided smartphone to manage tasks, report issues, and communicate with your team; Keeping staging areas clean and orderly before and after service; Representing Daniels Health with professionalism, positivity, and a strong work ethic

Requirements

MUST be able to work in: 1000 W Carson St Torrance, CA 90502 United States; Part time FSR working 20 hours per week; 4 hours/day (Mon - Fri) between the hours of 8am - 12pm; physically fit; comfortable with heavy lifting; enjoys active, on-the-go work; team player; able to work independently without direct supervision; strong attention to detail, especially when it comes to paperwork and procedures; reliable transportation and a willingness to travel throughout Illinois; a can-do attitude; previous experience in a labor-intensive or logistics role; COVID-19 vaccination required due to hospital access
