Parts Specialist

The Parts Specialist will provide all retail and installer customers with a high level of service. This position will also support store management in the accomplishment of assigned tasks.

Responsibilities

Follow and promote all company customer service programs; Promptly greet retail/walk-in customers in a friendly, courteous manner and assist them in their selection of merchandise; Assist managers and/or installer service specialists in serving professional customers as needed and directed; Complete assigned company training relevant to position; Provide excellent service to customers calling the store on the phone by answering calls, looking up parts, quoting prices, recommending premium and related items, and offering Low-Price Guarantee; Accurately maintain and secure cash drawer, accept cash and/or checks, make change, and process credit card transactions; Process exchanges and returns for credit in accordance with company policies and procedures; Address and resolve customer complaints in a friendly manner; Assist with daily image maker and planogram updates, including freight receiving, stocking shelves, fronting and facing, cleaning; Perform various daily operational tasks such as preparing returns to distribution center, assisting with monthly stock adjustments, inventory cycle counts; Operate brake lathe and other store test equipment after training; Perform in-store services for customers where state and local laws allow; Occasionally drive a delivery vehicle when business needs dictate; Perform all other duties as assigned

Requirements

Ability to quickly match alphanumeric sequences; Ability to provide outstanding, friendly and professional customer service; Must be able to multitask, handling customers on the phone and in the store at the same time; Driving record must meet the company mandated driving eligibility requirements

Nice to have

Familiar with automotive parts, cataloging, weatherly index system, and automotive sales or service; ASE certification; Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish is highly desired); Bilingual candidates encouraged to apply
