Patient Care Associate - Telemetry - FT- Nights-MRHS

Under the supervision of an RN, performs basic patient care and other related technical and clinical support activities.

Responsibilities

Under the supervision of an RN, performs basic patient care and other related technical and clinical support activities; Monitors patient status and response; Reports abnormal findings or changes in physical, mental, and emotional conditions to nursing staff; Additional duties as assigned; Performs basic patient care activities as delegated and supervised by an RN, including but not limited to: monitoring vital signs, EKG testing, phlebotomy, taking blood glucose measurements, and recording intake and output; Assists with keeping patient rooms/areas stocked, clean and orderly; Assists patients with tending to personal care and activities of daily living, including bathing, grooming, and eating; Assist with transporting patients, as needed

Requirements

No Degree or any other education earned (Required); BLS American Heart E-Card (BLS AHA ECARD) - American Heart Association; BLS American Heart RQI E-Card (BLS AHA-RQI ECARD) - American Heart Association; BLS Cert American Heart_non ecard (BLS AHA) - American Heart Association; BLS Certification Grace (BLS GRACE) - Employee Grace Period for Essential Credential; BLS Cert Red Cross (BLS RC) - Red Cross; Three (3) months of patient care experience demonstrating the ability to perform basic patient care or certification of completion from formal training program required; Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision; Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action; EKG and phlebotomy competencies are required within six (6) months of hire date
