Patient Services Specialist

Be the first point of care—guiding patients through admission with accuracy, compassion, and confidence while ensuring every detail of their visit is handled seamlessly. At SimonMed Imaging, the patient experience starts long before an exam takes place. Our Patient Service Specialists play a critical role in facilitating the patient admission flow across our imaging centers. From greeting patients to verifying insurance and processing documentation, this role ensures each visit starts with clarity, efficiency, and care. We are looking for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, communicates with empathy, and takes pride in delivering exceptional service.

Responsibilities

Guiding patients through admission with accuracy, compassion, and confidence; Ensuring every detail of their visit is handled seamlessly; Facilitating patient admission flow across imaging centers; Greeting patients; Verifying insurance; Processing documentation; Collecting and maintaining patient demographics, insurance information, medical histories, consent forms, and payments; Resolving scheduling, billing, and patient flow issues

Patient-first mindset: treat every interaction with empathy, respect, and genuine concern for patient needs; Strong communication and team-oriented approach; Attention to detail: accurately collect, process, and maintain patient demographics, insurance information, medical histories, consent forms, and payments; Adaptability and composure: stay calm under pressure in high-volume environments; Reliability, accountability, and problem-solving: take ownership of work, follow through on commitments, and help resolve scheduling, billing, and patient flow issues; Strong computer and data entry skills; Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment; Excellent verbal and written communication skills; High school diploma or equivalent required

Nice to have

1+ years of customer service, patient access, medical office, or call center experience preferred; Experience with scheduling, insurance verification, or healthcare registration processes preferred; Experience working with EMR/PM systems preferred
