Pediatric Nurse Cardiac PICU full time nights

Cardiac Pediatric Critical Care Unit is a 24-bed intensive care unit. Staff provides admission-to-discharge care for children with known cardiac anomalies requiring surgical or medical management. Job Summary: Performs as a partner on the care management team. Provides coordination and management of patient care to pediatric patients and families within a continuum of care. Delegates patient care activities as appropriate within a care management assignment. Functions within professional and hospital standards.

Responsibilities

Performs as a partner on the care management team; Provides coordination and management of patient care to pediatric patients and families; Delegates patient care activities as appropriate; Develops, implements and evaluates a plan of care; Advocates for the concerns of the patient/family/community; Facilitates patient, family and staff learning; Collaborates with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team; Supports the missions and strategic initiatives of the hospital

Requirements

Associate's Degree ADN required; Minimum of one year ICU RN experience; May consider August graduates with acute or critical care hospital tech or CNA experience; BLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider required; PALS-Pediatric Advanced Life Support within 90 days required; RN license in one of: Wisconsin, Arizona, Louisiana, or Kentucky

Nice to have

Pediatric experience preferred; Bachelor's Degree BSN preferred
