Pensions Calculations Actuary

We are partnering with a leading provider in the pension risk transfer market looking to hire a Pensions Calculations Actuary to join a specialist onboarding team. This is a technical and project-focused role. This is an excellent opportunity for an actuary with strong DB pensions knowledge who enjoys technical problem-solving, mentoring colleagues and improving customer outcomes within a growing specialist team.

Responsibilities

Provide expertise on complex defined benefit pension calculations; Review and produce member quotations and benefit calculations; Act as a subject matter expert on DB pension scheme structures and legislation; Lead process improvement and operational enhancement projects; Support, coach and develop junior team members; Work closely with stakeholders across pensions operations and client services

Requirements

Qualified actuary; Strong DB pensions experience; Detailed understanding of DB pension scheme benefits and regulations; Experience handling complex member calculations and technical queries; Strong communication, stakeholder management and problem-solving skills; Comfortable working in a technical leadership capacity
