Personal Assistant for Young Person

Direct Payment Personal Assistant required for a 12-year-old daughter. Hours wanted: 4 hours every fortnight, all year round. Flexibility with how these hours can be used. She has been diagnosed with downs syndrome, learning difficulties, communication difficulties and moderate hearing loss. She is unable to tell others her wishes and feelings, using facial expressions and vocalisations to communicate her likes and dislikes. This person needs support in accessing the community to engage in activities of her choice and to provide mum with some respite.

Requirements

Experience working with children who have disabilities; Full UK driving license; Own personal car
