Phlebotomist

Labcorp is a leader in diagnostics, drug development and healthcare innovation. LabCorp is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our team in Amarillo, TX (79124). Work Schedule: Monday - Thursday 7:30am - 5:00pm; Friday 7:30am - 2:00pm (additional hours / rotating Saturdays may be requested as needed).

Responsibilities

Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups; Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.; Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner; Process billing information and collect payments when required; Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis; Maintain patient and specimen information logs; Provide superior customer service to all patients; Administrative and clerical duties as necessary; Travel to additional sites when needed

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent; In lieu of work experience, a phlebotomy certification or completed training program must come from an accredited agency; Able to pass a standardized color blindness test; Flexibility to work overtime as needed; Able to work in a fast paced / high volume work environment; Exceptional customer service; Strong communication skills (written and verbal); Ability to work independently or in a team environment; Comfortable working under minimal supervision

Nice to have

2 or more years' phlebotomy experience working in a clinical / hospital environment; Current or prior LabCorp experience
