Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation - Full-Time NP/PA

Carolinas Rehabilitation Mt. Holly is seeking a dedicated Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) to join our Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (PM&R) team at Carolinas Rehabilitation – Mount Holly. This is a full-time position with a consistent Monday–Friday schedule and no call responsibilities. The role is well suited for an APP interested in helping patients restore function, improve mobility, and return to daily activities through comprehensive rehabilitation care.

Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive inpatient and outpatient evaluation and management of patients with functional impairments related to musculoskeletal and neurological conditions; Perform patient assessments, obtain detailed histories, conduct physical and functional exams; Develop individualized treatment plans; Order and interpret diagnostic studies; Prescribe medications and implement therapeutic interventions; Collaborate with a robust interdisciplinary team to coordinate care; Monitor patient outcomes, adjust care plans, and facilitate referrals; Provide patient and family education on diagnosis, recovery expectations, and strategies for independence; Document all patient encounters in the medical record; Act as a patient advocate

Requirements

Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program; Eligible for North Carolina licensure; Possess or be eligible for DEA licensure; Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team-based environment; Must speak English fluently and in understandable terms; Must be able to lift and support the weight of 35 pounds in handling patients, medical equipment, and supplies; Must possess intact sense of sight, hearing, smell, touch, and finger dexterity; Must have the ability to react and perform in stressful situations

Nice to have

Prior experience in physical medicine and rehabilitation, orthopedics, neurology, or a related specialty; ACNP, AGACNP, AGNP, PNP, or PNP-AC board certification
