Plant Maintenance Technician - Brighton

Crusoe Energy is revolutionizing computing by harnessing stranded natural gas to power high-performance computing, creating a more sustainable future. As a Plant Maintenance Technician, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the reliability and uptime of critical manufacturing equipment. You’ll work closely with the Facilities Manager to ensure smooth facility operations and establish a robust preventative maintenance system. You'll be involved in exciting projects, including the integration of equipment into a new production facility, as well as the development of corresponding maintenance procedures. The ideal candidate is a highly skilled plant maintenance technician with a strong understanding of high and low voltage systems, a proactive approach to problem-solving, and a commitment to safety.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues on manufacturing and facility systems; Maintain electrical and utility systems; Plan, schedule, and execute preventive maintenance activities using a CMMS; Perform PLC, controls, and electrical diagnostics; Ensure regulatory and safety compliance including Lockout/Tagout; Coordinate with vendors, Engineering, and Operations on system upgrades and installations; Work independently with minimal supervision and provide informal guidance to other technicians

Requirements

5+ years (10+ preferred) of experience in high and low voltage electrical systems in manufacturing, including installation, maintenance, and repair; Familiarity with city utilities, rotating machinery, air compressors, and CNC machinery is highly valued; In-depth understanding of relevant electrical codes; Skilled in using electrical testing equipment such as voltmeters, amp meters, and other diagnostic tools; Strong commitment to safety, with experience in Lockout/Tagout procedures and safety-sensitive environments; Excellent troubleshooting skills for diagnosing complex electrical issues; Strong ability to work with managers, peers, and vendors effectively; Ability to work in varied weather conditions, stand or sit for long periods, and lift up to 50 lbs; Safety-sensitive position requires drug and alcohol program participation; Must be able to pass a background check

Nice to have

Experience with actively utilizing a CMMS, preferably UpKeep; Experience in other building trades such as carpentry, HVAC, or plumbing; Experience partnering with production and scheduling departments
